Spring has arrived here in otherwise chilly Edmonton!
People are out and about, and the streets are a little messy!
Spring means new adventures, and new outfits! And that summer is on its way in.
I couldn't be happier.
This S/S 2014 I'm going to take things a little bit more seriously, all the while trying to be care free.
Let me explain.
I'm going to take things a little more seriously and be committed. To fashion that is. To being an adventure-seeker.
Fashion is my side hobby, my little passion. It's what I love to research and continue to expand my knowledge in. I want to be more serious about it and committed to it.
Edmonton has a lot to offer in the fashion department, and I want to explore that! There are so many stores and boutiques that I'm probably not aware of. Whyte Avenue, Jasper Ave, 124th Street.
Many, many options. It's time to give Edmonton a chance.
It's also time that I commit to my clothes and outfits. Stop making impulse purchases that only throw money down the drain. Start being deliberate in statement pieces and wardrobe staples. Clothes that can be worn time and time again; for many different occasions.
Adventure-seeking isn't something that I'd say I have a knack in. I may pretend to be relaxed and spontaneous, but really I'm quite self-conscious and every action is well thought out most of the time.
It's time to explore. Be serious about all those trips that I keep promising myself one day I'll take.
It starts with right here in Alberta. Banff, Jasper, Drumheller.
Heck, I finally went to Fort McMurray for the first time this past February. That may be small, but its a start and it was so much fun!
Simply speaking, I need to take trips. Take advantage of the gorgeous weather summer offers.
So maybe 'serious' isn't the right word. Committed is what I need to be. Committed to fashion and get-aways.
And now, besides being committed, I also strive to be care free.
Try those fashion trends that I love but am too afraid that others will look and judge.
Have fun with what I'm wearing!
I'm hoping that adventure-seeking will lend itself to this cause. By taking trips, I'll be given easy opportunities to be spontaneous and daring.
YOLO. (Such a ridiculous phrase but quite suitable to this post)
Let's see what this summer has to offer!
J.
